My documentery group is called Nowhere to play. In Nowhere big our big goal is to get sports facilities improved. Nowhere to Play tries to get the mayor's attention about this issue in a video letter form, documenting the healthy effects of sports on teenagers. One of our goals is to persuades people to Write a letter to the mayor, urging him to build better sports facilities for kids, and to keep his promise to build a state-of-the-art park in the Bronx and get them to share their thoughts on this topic.

Social Issuse: Pollution

My opinion on pollution is that it's something that needs to be stopped. Pollution causes global warming that and cigarettes even though it's a small cause. water pollution can cause disease and death. Air pollution is less lethal, but less noticeable and it's the leading cause of global warming.I learned this from http://www.umich.edu/~gs265/society/waterpollution.htm.

I think that pollution should be stopped. It is a good source of deaths worldwide. There's air and water pollution. Air pollution is the least noticeable, but still deadly. Water is on 70 percent of the earth's surface and undoubtedly our most Perseus natural resource. It not only harms us it also harms the earth as well. So everyone should care about it!

Introduction Documentery Storm

The video I just watched is called Storm it's about a kid who gets picked on by a bully and the video was black and white . I think video was made gray by choose and it was low budget. I thing I would change is how realistic the video . Another thing I would change are the actors because their not good actors. Overall I think this video talked about a good Issues. I loved the video.

Maus is a book about a old man who has lived through the Holocaust. in the beginning of the book the son was very exited to see his father again they were separated for years. then the son says that he wants to write a book about him in his honor. the father tells him about his past.

I never met anyone who been through the same thing he has been through. he's been through war there were a few times where he was almost killed. but he is pretty smart if I was him I probably would have gotten my self killed.

One funny part of the story was when the father tried to stop his son from getting drafted he didn't eat a lot him was thin, skinny, sickly looking, and you could see his bones through his skinny. He was very emaciated. I can connect this to this guy I know Jesus, but I shouldn't be making fun of him I'm pretty skinny myself.

I would recommend this story it's a fairlly good story, but I wouldn't recommend this story to anyone hates comics. it's alright if you love comics

The character in my book has endured much like the fact that he's a killer. he survived through war. the only thing that helped him through the war was his desire to live. he went without seeing his son for years. And he's glad that his son has taken a intrest in his life.

I'm reading the outsider since. I was reading the story Maus since it's to easy for me to read I put it down after reading the first 3 pages . I'm the only one in my group who came to school today. It's a story about three brothers that live together. Their parents had died. so they depend on each other, so they all need each other. In the beginning of the story he was attacked by the gang the SOCs. A good time for them is beating up "greasers".

The poem the writer talks about how he doesn't have a future and he decided his future by dying at a young age people tell him to plan his future he probably thinks he doesn't have a future because his father was killed on the streets some people are lucky to even have a father a round to take care of them. I don't blame him for feeling the way he feels.

I just started reading this magazine called Gamepro. My parents brought me a 2 year subscription thats how cool they are! I got my third Issue yesterday and I just can't stop reading it. It talks about and reveiws game consoles the latest video games things that interest gamers. I've thought about about getting gameinformer since their the same kind of magazine, but gamepro was more popular. Overall gamepro game magazine of the year 4.5 stars.

recommended books

I would personally recommend A series of unfortunate events ALL 13 books but you must read book 1 first it will make more sense than reading book 2 first. It's a great book when i started reading I couldn't put the book down not even for sleeping, and for me sleeping a pastime. When I was done with the first book I didn't hesitate to start reading the other books. I would also recommend the bone book series I found it easy to lose myself in it. it's full of easy words. It's a comic book. I'm a fan of comics. If you love comics then read this book!

3 Day Book Reading

I'm inpressed that I read a WHOLE book in just 3 days the book was called Brothers In Arms. It was about a young man his brother was shot and killed right in front of him. he treated his brother like dirt so he can look cool in front. His little brother gave his life to protect his older brother. Right before he was killed his older brother treated him like dirt and felt guilty about it. I could really relate to this book I treat my little brother like dirt (most of the times). But I don't value him the way I should. From now I'm going to try harder (not that much but I'm still going to try).You don't value something until It's gone.

I've got to read each day, come to school everyday and I've got to accumulate more words in my vocabulary each week, because the number of unknown vocabulary words I don't recognize must be immense. I need write an essay at least twice a week. I need see what a great essay is. I need to take less time writing a essay. I need to take steps to get there I'm good but I need to be better

Dear Parents,

I've learned so much over the past few months like compare and contrast main idea setting and in high school we need read a book a week. Plus I'm a Mac I'm not a PC no more. The tech here is great there's enough here to open a Istore. The teachers have better Laptops but I'm not complaining (sign). The school is either really rich or they just love us or both, probably not.

A Million Little Pieces
by James Frey
In my book a million little pieces James has been put in treatment facility to stop being addicted to drugs. James is having a hard time finding himself, because he doesn't understand anything. Why his parents still love him even after everything he did to himself and why he doesn't love them the same way. As I progressed in the memoir he's starting to miss a friend who has died a decade ago and he's blaming himself for her death.

How does the information in the box "a day in the life (of me)" help the reader understand the article?

The information from the box helps the reader understand the article by showing the reader what her day is like and compare their life to her life, and see how much harder/easier her life is compared to our life. For example, she sews patches on clothes. We buy clothes that have patches already sewed on.
